What we are unsure about is how to set up donations, since we are not an NGO, and the "leadership" team of this community will change in the forseeable future. For all those reasons we are hesitant to set up a new bank account in any of our names. Would you have any advice how we could organise donations in this case?

Most e-NABLE chapters do not have a registered organization behind them, so they find other ways to take donations. Some take "in kind" donations of filament and supplies so that they never deal with money. Others set up bank accounts in their group's name. Others take the donations into their personal accounts and use it to buy things for the chapter. Still others don't take any donations and pay for everything out of their members' pockets. A final option is to contact Enable Outreach (www.enableoutreach.org), a non-profit that works closely with e-NABLE chapters, and ask them to take donations on your behalf and then turn the money back around to you.
